25 Verde

25 Verde is a residential complex in Turin with around 150 trees and plants built into its steel and wood structure. The seven-story building contains 63 apartments with flexible layouts and uses geothermal systems for heating and cooling.

The building was completed in 2014 on a site near Turin's former Fiat factory. It marks the city's shift from its industrial past toward environmentally conscious residential design.

Residents use the green spaces as part of their daily life, maintaining small gardens and plants on their terraces. This approach to living weaves nature directly into the home.

The complex can be viewed from outside to see how the greenery is integrated, particularly visible from street level. Public areas around the building show how the project works in practice.

Each apartment has irregularly shaped terraces with large planters arranged at different heights. This varied arrangement creates a constantly changing green pattern that looks different depending on the season.
