Spiaggia di Miseno

Spiaggia di Miseno is a coastal beach along the Tyrrhenian Sea with soft sand and shallow water that slopes gently offshore. The wide shoreline is framed by rocky cliffs and offers different conditions throughout the day and seasons.

The beach was home to a major Roman naval fleet base and takes its name from Misenus, the trumpeter of Aeneas in ancient mythology. The Romans used this strategically important location to control the coastal waters.
