Angel Flight

Angel Flight is a zip-line system that connects Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa across the Lucanian Dolomites. The setup allows passengers to glide high above mountain valleys while taking in the surrounding landscape below.

This mountain region was fortified in the 11th century with castles built on the hillsides to protect the villages. The modern zip-line now connects these ancient settlements in an entirely different way.

The link between these two mountain villages shows how people here have always stayed connected across the peaks. Locals see this flight path as a symbol of their shared life in the highlands.

Visitors should wear light clothing and bring a rain jacket since mountain weather can shift quickly. Small items can be carried, but large backpacks or bags are not permitted during the flight.

The system features two separate routes that launch from different starting points and offer different experiences. Each line travels at a different altitude and reveals different sections of the mountain landscape.
