Angel Flight

The steel cable system connects Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa villages across the Lucanian Dolomites, allowing passengers to glide at speeds reaching 120 kilometers per hour.

The flight path traverses ancient Norman territories where medieval fortifications were constructed during the 11th century to defend the mountainous settlements.

The connection between these two mountain communities reflects the enduring relationship of local inhabitants who have lived among the Lucanian Dolomites for generations.

Visitors must wear a T-shirt, bring a rain jacket for weather changes, and can only carry small pouches up to 12 centimeters thick during the flight.

Two distinct flight paths exist: San Martino line spans 1415 meters from Pietrapertosa, while Peschiera line extends 1452 meters from Castelmezzano, each offering different altitudes.
