Villa Beatrice d'Este

Villa Beatrice d'Este stands on Mount Gemola within the Euganean Hills Regional Park, featuring preserved architectural elements from multiple historical periods.

The site originated as a Benedictine monastery in 1221 when Beatrice d'Este, daughter of Marquis Azzo VI, established a religious community there.

The provincial Naturalistic Museum occupies several rooms of the villa, displaying exhibits about the vegetation and wildlife of the Euganean territory.

The villa receives approximately 975 visitors annually and requires navigation through Cinto Euganeo via the western foothill road from Padua or Vicenza.

The structure combines remnants of a 13th-century monastery with a 17th-century Venetian villa and early 1900s agricultural buildings in one complex.
