The church displays a Gothic portal with pointed arches and features a rose window on its sandstone facade, alongside three bell towers.
Founded in 1299 by Marchisia Prefoglio, the church underwent substantial modifications during the 18th century, incorporating baroque elements into its medieval structure.
The interior walls present stucco decorations by sculptor Serpotta, depicting scenes from Jesus Christ's childhood and religious figures in numerous detailed compositions.
The church opens Monday through Saturday from 9:30 to 11:30 and 15:00 to 17:00 in winter, with extended summer hours until 18:00.
The structure houses a marble statue of Madonna of the Spring and Child by Gagini, positioned in a niche near the entrance.
