Castello di Alboino, Medieval castle in Feltre, Italy

The castle stands on Colle delle Capre hill, featuring a prominent clock tower and remaining defensive walls that overlook the Piazza Maggiore below.

Archaeological findings date the central keep to the 11th century, while the structure underwent significant modifications during the Venetian rule in the 15th century.

The castle walls display frescoes painted by Lorenzo Luzzo in 1518, representing the artistic traditions of the northern Italian Renaissance period.

Visitors can reach the castle by climbing Salita Nicolò Ramponi street, with guided tours available through the local tourism office.

The 35-meter-high Torre del Campanon served as a communication point with other fortresses through smoke signals during medieval times.
