Riserva naturale Vincheto di Cellarda

The Vincheto di Cellarda reserve extends over 92 hectares along the right bank of Piave River, featuring wetlands, ponds, and rich biodiversity.

The State Forest Corps assumed management in 1881 and established fish breeding facilities and a nursery for floriculture, transforming the area into a willow cultivation site.

The reserve contains educational facilities where visitors learn about local wildlife, wetland ecosystems, and the traditional practice of willow cultivation for basket weaving.

The reserve features wheelchair-accessible paths, informative panels, educational rooms for conferences, and multiple observation points for wildlife watching throughout the year.

The reserve maintains 120 varieties of willow species introduced since 1901, including Salix viminalis, complemented by natural springs and glacial water pools.
