Villa Bellati, 18th-century Venetian villa in Vignui di Feltre, Italy.
Villa Bellati is an 18th-century villa in Vignui di Feltre with a central building flanked by two symmetrical wings topped with semi-octagonal turrets. The complex spreads across multiple levels on a hillside and combines a residential building with extensive grounds.
The villa was commissioned in 1703 by philosopher Giovanni Bellati, following the family's land acquisition in 1671. The building arose during the early peak of Venetian villa architecture.
The chapel inside holds three marble sculptures by artist Giacomo Piazzetta, including two angels and a depiction of Saint Joseph. These religious works reflect the spiritual importance the family placed on shaping their home.
The complex can be viewed from outside and displays its noteworthy facade from a paved area with a stone balustrade. The hillside provides multiple viewpoints to see the structure and its details.
The facade features rusticated stonework and Ionic pilasters with three grand arched windows overlooking geometrically decorated stone patterns. These architectural details were typical of wealthy Venetian families who wanted to display their cultivation and learning.
