The Ex Manifattura Tabacchi spans 120,000 square meters and features architectural elements designed by Pier Luigi Nervi in the 1950s.

The building operated as a tobacco factory from 1948 to 1960, employing numerous workers in the production of cigarettes and tobacco products.

The structure now houses the Tecnopolo, which contains advanced computing facilities and serves as a center for research in data science.

Located at Via Riva Reno 72, the complex integrates research institutes and hosts the LEONARDO supercomputer for scientific calculations.

The facility contains 80 percent of Italy's total computing capacity and functions as a European center for meteorological and climate research.
