Imago Museum

Imago Museum is a contemporary and modern art museum in central Pescara, housed in a former banking building with exhibition areas distributed across multiple floors. The space is designed to accommodate diverse artistic displays and rotating collections of twentieth-century works.

The building originated as a rationalist-style banking structure that was acquired and repurposed into an art venue in the early 2010s. The transformation was completed and the space officially opened to the public in 2021 as a dedicated exhibition center.

The collection focuses on twentieth-century works that explore themes of contemporary reality, reflecting how artists of that period engaged with their surroundings. These pieces give visitors a window into the artistic concerns and perspectives of the modern era.

The entrance is located at a central address near the city center, making it easy to reach on foot. Allow enough time to explore the different exhibition levels and appreciate the building itself as part of your visit.

The museum holds a significant collection of Scandinavian artworks, particularly paintings from northern European artistic movements of the early twentieth century. This collection is unusual for an Italian museum and offers a rare view of Nordic artistic traditions.
