Imago Museum, Modern art museum in central Pescara, Italy
The museum spans three floors of the former Banco di Napoli building, offering 1200 square meters of exhibition space for contemporary and modern art collections.
The Pescarabruzzo Foundation acquired the rationalist-style Banco di Napoli building in 2013 and transformed it into the Imago Museum, which opened in February 2021.
The permanent collection includes 130 twentieth-century works centered on historical reality themes, donated by Alfredo and Teresita Paglione to enrich the museum's heritage.
Visitors can explore the museum exhibitions from Monday to Friday between 10:30-13:30 and 16:20-20:00, with entrance at Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, 270.
The museum houses Italy's largest exhibition of Danish art, featuring 119 paintings from the Scandinavian Impressionist movement of the Civita d'Antino painting school.
