Jerash Governorate, Administrative region in northern Jordan
Jerash Governorate is an administrative region in northwestern Jordan with agricultural lands and mountainous terrain. The area spans different elevations and contains several sub-districts that together form a densely settled zone.
The region emerged in 1994 through administrative reform when it separated from Irbid Governorate. This restructuring allowed for more focused management of the densely populated northern territory.
