As-Salt Grand Mosque

The As-Salt Grand Mosque is a place of worship in the old city with sandstone walls, domed roofs, and multiple arched windows that form its exterior. Inside, separate prayer areas serve men and women.

The building dates back to the 14th century and took its current form during Ottoman times in the 1800s when it underwent major reconstruction. Additional renovation work happened in the early 2000s.
