Yamanashi

The city spans across 289 square kilometers of land, combining flat southern areas with mountains rising toward the northern regions along the Fuefuki River.

The city formation occurred in 1954 through the consolidation of multiple hamlets, followed by the incorporation of Makioka town and Mitomi village in 2005.
