Nezu Memorial Museum

The Nezu Memorial Museum contains seven National Treasures and over 7,000 pieces of pre-modern Japanese and East Asian art in its collection.

The museum preserves the former residence of entrepreneur Kaichiro Nezu, who assembled an extensive collection of Japanese artifacts during the early 20th century.

The museum exhibits traditional Japanese tea ceremony utensils, showcasing the evolution and refinement of this ceremonial practice through different periods.

Located 25 minutes from Yamanashishi Station, the museum charges 300 yen for adults and remains open from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM except Mondays.

The property features several protected structures, including a Nagayamon gate and a dozo storehouse, recognized as Registered Tangible Cultural Properties.
