Tokushima Bunri University, Private university in Tokushima, Japan
Tokushima Bunri University is a private institution with two campuses: the main one in Tokushima City and another in Sanuki City in Kagawa Prefecture. Its nine faculties offer undergraduate and graduate programs across a broad range of fields.
Founded in 1895 as a private vocational school by Sai Murasaki, the institution has grown over more than a century. What started as job training gradually expanded into a modern university with broader academic offerings.
Students from different countries study here, bringing their own perspectives into the classroom and daily campus life. This mix of backgrounds shapes how people interact and learn together on the grounds.
Both campuses are accessible by public transport from surrounding areas. It helps to know ahead of time which campus covers your field of study, as different programs are spread across both locations.
The university partners with the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, regularly hosting visiting professors from there. This connection brings European musical traditions to campus and creates unexpected cultural moments.
