Myōkaku Station, railway station in Tokigawa, Hiki district, Saitama prefecture, Japan
Myōkaku Station is a small train stop in Tokigawa with two platforms and two tracks, designed simply and functionally for daily use. It is an above-ground station operated by the East Japan Railway Company, which manages many other stations across eastern Japan.
The station opened on March 24, 1934, and has served as a connection point for people in the region ever since. In 1988 the station building was damaged by fire, but it was rebuilt and reopened in 1989.
The station carries its name from local heritage and serves as a familiar place for Tokigawa residents. It is used daily by people commuting to work, school, or shopping in nearby towns, and it shapes the quiet rhythm of rural daily life.
The station is unmanned, so travelers rely on machines and signs for tickets and information. The platforms are connected by a level crossing where passengers can walk safely across the tracks.
The first platform serves trains heading toward Komagawa and Ogose, while the second platform serves trains toward Takasaki and Yorii. This split function shows how the station connects travelers in multiple directions from a small rural location.
