Aikawa, Administrative town in Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan

Located in Kanagawa Prefecture, Aikawa covers 34.29 square kilometers of land near the Nakatsu River and Tanzawa Mountains foothills.

The Battle of Mimasetoge between Takeda Shingen and Hōjō clan forces occurred in this area during the Sengoku period before becoming tenryō territory.

The town maintains cultural centers serving various ethnic communities, including Vietnamese, Cambodian, and Lao residents who represent a substantial foreign population.

While Aikawa lacks passenger railway service, National Route 412 provides access to the town and connections to surrounding metropolitan areas.

The former Sagami Airfield transformed into an industrial park in 1966, now hosting major companies like Makino Milling Machines and Asahi Glass.
