華嚴山

Mount Kegon is a mountain summit in Kanagawa Prefecture that rises roughly 602 meters above sea level. From its peak, hikers see a broad panorama across valleys and neighboring mountain ridges in different directions.

For centuries, the mountain paths have linked villages and settlements throughout the area, serving as key routes for travelers and residents. Over time, these trails became woven into the life and identity of local communities.

On exceptionally clear days, hikers standing at this peak can see both Mount Fuji and Sagami Bay stretching toward the horizon. This double vista creates a rare vantage point that draws visitors seeking sweeping long-distance views.
