Ikeda

Ikeda is an agricultural town in central Tokachi with mostly flat land and gentle hills toward the north. The landscape consists of open fields and farmland that form the backbone of the local economy.

The settlement began in 1879 and developed through organized farming growth from 1896 onward. The town received its official status in 1926 after several villages joined together.
