Obihiro Centennial City Museum

The museum exhibits document the development of Obihiro and Tokachi region through dioramas, photographs, artworks, and archaeological artifacts from different periods.

Established in 1982, the museum preserves important artifacts from the Jomon period discovered at the Yachiyo A site, recognized as Important Cultural Property.

The museum houses the Ainu Culture Information Center called Riwka, dedicated to sharing knowledge about Japan's indigenous Ainu people and their traditions.

Located 25 minutes from Obihiro Station, the museum opens daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM with an entrance fee of 700 yen for adults.

The facility includes a ceramic art training room where visitors can participate in hands-on activities while learning about local artistic traditions.
