Hokkaido Obihiro Museum of Art

The Hokkaido Obihiro Museum of Art exhibits regional art pieces and international print collections within a modern structure surrounded by natural parkland.

The museum, which opened on September 22, 1991, stands as the fifth prefectural art museum established in the Hokkaido region of Japan.

The institution maintains four to five annual special exhibitions in its Main Exhibition Room, presenting diverse artistic genres from Japanese and international artists.

Visitors can explore the museum from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, with closures on Mondays and during exhibition changes throughout the year.

The museum received the Public Buildings Award for its architectural design that integrates with the surrounding environment of Midorigaoka Park.
