Kawasemi

Kawasemi is a steel roller coaster at Tobu Zoo Park in Minami, Saitama, with a track length of 755 meters and a maximum height of 31 meters. The ride reaches speeds of 85 kilometers per hour and is built without any inversions.

This Intamin-manufactured coaster opened in 2008 and marked the introduction of the world's first Mega-Lite model. The technology of this type influenced the design of similar rides that followed.

The name comes from the Japanese word for kingfisher, a small bird famous for its swift movements and agility. This choice of name reflects the character of the ride.

Two trains with four cars each operate simultaneously, transporting about 820 visitors per hour. The cable lift system allows for efficient operation throughout the day.

The ride uses a cable lift system instead of a traditional chain lift, making it faster and more efficient. This feature allows it to maintain higher speeds throughout the entire course.
