URA House, Government office building in Nakawa, Uganda
URA House is a tall office building in Kampala's eastern district that houses the Uganda Revenue Authority and related administrative departments. The structure stretches multiple levels and contains numerous workspace areas, conference facilities, and support services within its framework.
The building emerged from a plan to consolidate scattered revenue administration offices into a single headquarters location starting in the mid-2010s. Its completion represented a major step in centralizing government operations in eastern Kampala.
The building incorporates modern workplace amenities, including a dedicated level for nursing mothers to support staff maintaining work-life balance.
The building offers extensive parking across multiple levels to accommodate both employees and visitors throughout the day. Access points are distributed around the structure to help people move through different areas without confusion.
The complex brings together multiple government tax departments that were previously scattered across different parts of the city. Consolidating them under one roof allowed for streamlined operations and better coordination between departments.
