Namirembe Cathedral, Anglican cathedral on Namirembe Hill, Uganda
The cathedral features red brick construction with a large dome and stained glass windows positioned on a hilltop overlooking central Kampala.
The current structure, completed in 1919, represents the fifth version of the cathedral after previous buildings succumbed to natural disasters and structural issues.
Services alternate between English and Luganda languages, reflecting the integration of Anglican traditions with local Ugandan religious practices.
Visitors can attend morning worship sessions at 6:45 for English service or choose between 8:30 and 10:00 for services in Luganda.
The cathedral houses an organ from 1931 that underwent extensive restoration between 1999 and 2007 following periods of national instability.
