Kratié Province

Kratié Province is a region in northeastern Cambodia featuring dense forests and a mighty river flowing through mountainous terrain. The area is shaped by numerous islands that flood seasonally, creating a dynamic landscape throughout the year.

The province was established in 1907 during French colonial administration, building on territories from an ancient kingdom that once ruled the region. This colonial foundation continues to influence the region's administrative structure today.
