The museum occupies 243,970 square meters with a building area of 49,582 square meters and contains over 2,400 scientific exhibits across multiple halls.
The museum opened its doors on November 14, 2008, establishing itself as a central institution for scientific education in South Korea.
The Hall of Fame recognizes 31 scientists, including Korean innovators Jang Yeong-sil and Heo Jun, presenting their discoveries through detailed exhibitions.
Visitors can explore permanent exhibitions in the Basic Science Hall, Advanced Science Hall, Children's Hall, Natural History Hall, and Traditional Science Hall.
The main building exterior represents a futuristic flying object, complemented by outdoor facilities including a planetarium, observatory, and insectarium.
