Marine City, Busan, Residential complex in Haeundae District, South Korea

Marine City is a modern residential complex with glass and steel high-rises lining the Haeundae waterfront in eastern Busan. The towers form a cohesive neighborhood with integrated shopping areas, dining options, and immediate access to the water's edge.

Marine City began construction in the early 2000s on reclaimed land between Haeundae Beach and Centum City. The development redefined Busan's coastline and established the area as a sought-after residential destination.

The name Marine City comes from its setting on reclaimed land of Suyeong Bay. The district has appeared in the 2018 film Black Panther and in several Korean dramas, including The King: Eternal Monarch and Sisyphus: The Myth. Visitors can find a model of Marine City in the Miniland of Legoland Korea Resort.

Marine City sits on reclaimed land between Haeundae Beach and Centum City, with the Haeundae ramp of the Donghae Expressway running through it. Dongbaek Station on Busan Metro Line 2 is the nearest subway stop, and city bus routes through the area are limited. The waterfront and Dongbaek Island are within walking distance.

Daewoo Group once planned a tower of over 100 floors on this reclaimed land, but the project collapsed with the conglomerate in 1999, leaving the site empty for nearly 20 years. The 2018 film Black Panther shot scenes here and at the Gwangandaegyo Bridge. Legoland Korea Resort keeps a model of Marine City in its Miniland park.
