Busan Aquarium

Busan Aquarium is a three-level facility housing around 40 distinct sections where visitors encounter hundreds of marine species. The spaces are divided into different habitat zones designed to recreate the natural conditions of various ocean environments.

The facility opened in 2001 through a partnership between international operators and local authorities. Since then it has grown into a significant educational center for marine biology and ocean conservation in the region.

The facility manages a seahorse breeding program and conducts educational programs about marine conservation focusing on endangered species protection.

The best time to visit is in the morning when the facility is less crowded and animals are most active. Plan to spend at least two to three hours to explore the different sections at a comfortable pace.

An underground tunnel with transparent walls lets visitors walk directly into a massive body of water populated with countless sea creatures. This unusual passage creates an immersive experience that many guests describe as the highlight of their visit.
