Uam Historic Park

Uam Historic Park is a compound featuring sixteen traditional buildings constructed on hillside grounds with landscaped green spaces throughout. Visitors find an artifact museum, exhibition hall, library, and pavilion connected by well-maintained pathways across the property.

The site was established as a memorial to a prominent scholar who lived and worked during the Joseon Period. It preserves the legacy of this significant historical figure and his intellectual contributions to scholarship.

The Namganjeongsa building served as a learning space where a prominent Confucian scholar taught his students and fostered philosophical discussions.

The grounds are easy to navigate with marked pathways throughout, allowing visitors to move comfortably between buildings. It is helpful to wear comfortable shoes and allow time to view multiple structures on the property.

The park contains a dedicated section displaying original writings and works by the scholar it commemorates, documenting his intellectual pursuits. This collection offers visitors direct insight into the thinking and scholarly work of this historical period.
