Qal'at Bustra

The temple structure spans 100 square meters on a peak at 786 meters elevation, with foundation stones and a single course remaining intact.

Archaeological excavations between 1970 and 1972 identified the site as Harviya, later renamed Qal'at Bustra following consultations with local residents in 1990.

The temple grounds contain evidence of religious practices from the Hellenistic to Roman periods, including discovered stelae and fragments of marble statues.

The location sits 5 kilometers east-northeast of Ghajar, near the Sheba Farms region, featuring multiple water cisterns throughout the agricultural landscape.

Eleven ancient coins found within the temple area date from the third century BCE to third century CE, including currency from Herod Antipas reign.
