Tel Azaziat

Tel Azaziat is a hilltop in the Golan Heights that rises above the surrounding landscape and contains old military structures from decades past. The site offers views across the valley and toward nearby settlements.

The summit served as a Syrian military position until Israeli forces took control in 1967. The fortifications visible today date from the 1960s and reflect the strategic importance of this border area.

Syrian bunkers and fortifications from the 1960s remain visible and largely intact on the mountaintop. These structures offer a glimpse into the military engineering methods of that era.
