Givat HaEm, Summit and scenic viewpoint in Golan Heights, Israel
Located at 196 meters above sea level, Givat HaEm features a small bunker and offers views across the eastern Hula Valley and surrounding landscapes.
The summit gained military importance after the War of Independence when Israeli forces established a border outpost opposite Syrian positions on the Golan Heights.
The hill bears the name of Henrietta Szold, an American Zionist leader who directed Youth Aliya, reflecting her contributions to Israeli society.
Visitors can reach the site through nearby Kfar Szold Intersection bus station, with additional facilities available in the kibbutz located 1.1 miles away.
The basalt formation of Givat HaEm resulted from volcanic activity during the geological development of the Jordan Rift Valley system.
