Laxapana Falls

Laxapana Falls is a waterfall near Kiriwan Eliya that drops 126 meters over rust-colored cliffs. The water cascades dramatically over terrain rich in iron ore, creating a striking natural display.

The name comes from Sanskrit, referring to the red iron ore that colors the surrounding rocks. This linguistic heritage reflects how ancient people identified the place through its geology.
