Batatotalena Cave

The natural cavity extends 25 meters in length, reaches 15 meters in height, and spans 18 meters in width, creating an internal volume of 6,800 cubic meters.

Archaeological investigations at the site have revealed human occupation dating back more than 25,000 years, with artifacts from multiple historical periods discovered within.

Known as Diva Guhava in Buddhist texts, the cave holds religious importance as the location where Buddha rested after leaving his footprint on Adam's Peak.

Reaching the cave entrance requires a 400-meter trek from Sudagala followed by a 50-meter climb up the rocky terrain.

A separate partially submerged cave lies 30 meters away from the main chamber, requiring visitors to swim 20 meters to access its interior.
