Klaipėda TV Tower
The Klaipėda TV Tower is a lattice communication tower in Klaipėda, Lithuania, serving as a broadcasting structure for television and radio signals across the region. It stands approximately 201 meters tall with a metal framework design and supports multiple antennas for transmitting digital television, radio programs, and mobile phone signals.
The tower was constructed in 1957 as part of Klaipėda's post-war development of communication infrastructure. It was upgraded to digital broadcasting technology, allowing it to transmit up to forty programs simultaneously, and has remained a vital part of the local broadcasting system for over sixty years.
The tower is located in the Giruliai area of Klaipėda, standing about 25 meters above sea level, making it visible from many parts of the city. As an active broadcasting facility, it is not open to public visits and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
