Church of the Holy Trinity, Liškiava

The Church of the Holy Trinity in Liškiava is a Catholic place of worship with a central eight-sided space topped by a large dome and two decorative towers on the front. The exterior walls feature straight tectonic forms with pilasters at corners and triangular pediments on both the front and transept sides.

Dominican monks built this house of worship between 1704 and 1741 on land provided by manor owner Vladislavas Kosyla, situated near the Nemunas River. This extended construction period shows the effort required to complete such a substantial building in that era.

Inside, you find seven altars and a pulpit decorated in the Rococo style, with Baroque frescoes painted by artists from Vilnius on the walls. These ornaments tell the story of religious craftsmanship from centuries ago.
