Al Hoceima National Park

The protected area stretches across 480 square kilometers, including 196 square kilometers of Mediterranean waters and 50 kilometers of coastal territory.

The establishment of Al Hoceima National Park in 1942 marked a significant step in preserving the natural heritage of northern Morocco's Rif Mountains.

The territory contains several traditional Berber settlements where residents maintain their customs, language, and agricultural practices within the protected boundaries.

Visitors can access multiple hiking trails throughout the park, with the town of Al Hoceima providing accommodation, restaurants, and guided tour services.

The limestone cliffs along the coastline shelter a colony of ospreys and rare Mediterranean monk seals in natural marine caves.
