Crocoparc Agadir, Botanical garden and zoo in Drarga, Morocco
The park spans about 4 hectares and is built around three basins where Nile crocodiles rest in the water. Garden areas surrounding these zones contain over 300 different plant species.
The park opened in 2015 and marked the return of crocodiles to Morocco after more than a century of absence. This comeback held special significance for the region.
The garden sections are designed around specific plant collections, with one area dedicated to rare succulents and another to aquatic species. Visitors notice how these themed zones are arranged and used throughout the grounds.
Paths lead past multiple enclosures where you can see different animal species including giant tortoises, iguanas, snakes, and small primates. Wear comfortable shoes and allow time to walk through the various sections at a relaxed pace.
An elevated walkway called the Monkey Bridge crosses through the grounds and offers views from above the gardens and animal areas. This raised perspective reveals the park's layout in a way ground level paths cannot.
