Gradski stadion

Gradski stadion is a multi-purpose sports facility in Nikšić featuring a grass playing surface and an athletic track around the field. The infrastructure has been modernized to meet international standards and now includes modern floodlighting and improved spectator areas.

The stadium opened in 1946 and served as the city's sports center from the beginning. In the early 2000s, extensive reconstruction work followed, including modifications to the stand structures to improve conditions.

The stadium serves as home ground for FK Sutjeska and hosts matches for Montenegro's under-21 national team. It is central to the local sports culture and brings together fans from across the region during games.

Visiting is easiest by local public transport or car, as the stadium sits centrally in Nikšić. Visitors should be aware that seasons affect the grass pitch, and matches may occasionally be rescheduled due to weather conditions.

In the past, the stadium held up to 15,000 spectators during major derbies against Belgrade clubs before capacity was reduced. This reduction reflects how modern safety and standard requirements have reshaped the size of sports facilities.
