Bobotov Kuk

The limestone peak of Bobotov Kuk rises to 2523 meters, forming a natural amphitheater with adjacent peaks Bezimeni Vrh and Djevojka in northern Montenegro.

Austrian cartographer Oscar Baumann completed the first documented climb of Bobotov Kuk in 1883, while the initial organized mountaineering group arrived from Zagreb in 1926.

Serbian botanist Josif Pančić conducted extensive research in the late 19th century, documenting numerous endemic plant species across the Durmitor mountain range.

The ascent from Sedlo Pass follows a marked trail over rocky terrain and requires metal ropes in some sections, with a total hiking time of approximately six hours.

Snow remains in the Valoviti Do basin throughout summer months, creating a permanent white patch at 2000 meters elevation beneath the summit pyramid.
