Ailinginae Atoll, Coral atoll in Ralik Chain, Marshall Islands.

Ailinginae Atoll encompasses 25 islands across 2.8 square kilometers of land area, surrounding a lagoon of 105.96 square kilometers in the Pacific Ocean.

Spanish navigator Álvaro de Saavedra first documented the atoll on January 1, 1528, naming it Islas de los Reyes due to its discovery near Epiphany.

The atoll forms part of the Ralik Chain, where inhabitants traditionally speak the Rālik dialect of Marshallese, distinct from the eastern Ratak variations.

Two entrances provide access to the lagoon: Mogiri Pass at 1.45 kilometers wide and Eniibukku Pass measuring 0.48 kilometers in width.

The atoll remains uninhabited since 1954 when residents evacuated due to concerns about nuclear fallout from testing at nearby Bikini Atoll.
