Bokak Atoll, Coral atoll in Ratak Chain, Marshall Islands.

The atoll consists of 36 islets forming a crescent shape, spanning 18 kilometers by 9 kilometers in a north-south direction over the Pacific Ocean.

Spanish explorer Toribio Alonso de Salazar first discovered this atoll in 1526, marking the beginning of European documentation of the Marshall Islands region.

The atoll remained under traditional Marshallese chiefs who managed natural resources through hereditary property systems before colonial administration changes.

Located 685 kilometers north of Majuro Atoll, this uninhabited landmass receives less than 1,000 millimeters of rainfall annually in its semi-arid climate.

The atoll supports nine plant species and provides nesting grounds for 26 bird species, including brown boobies and great frigatebirds in isolation.
