Mongolian Military Museum

The Mongolian Military Museum is a building in Bayanzürkh that displays thousands of objects related to military history. The halls present items from different periods, ranging from prehistoric tools to uniforms and weapons that document warfare over a long span of time.

The museum was established in 1996 and is based on an earlier idea that emerged in the 1960s. The collection preserves objects that show how military techniques and strategies developed throughout Mongolian history.

Visitors can see real military vehicles, tanks, and even an old fighter plane outside the building, filling the yard. This offers a direct contrast between the smaller objects inside and the large machines that were used in actual conflicts.
