Kuredu Island Resort Maldives, hotel in Maldives
Kuredu Island Resort Maldives is a holiday destination on a large island in the Lhaviyani Atoll with long white sandy beaches and clear water that stays shallow near the shore. The resort has three main areas with different types of accommodation, including overwater villas, beach villas, and private Sultan Villas, plus fourteen restaurants, bars, three pools, and a spa.
The resort opened in 1989 as a place for divers and adventure seekers wanting to explore the coral reefs around the island. Over the years, different types of villas were added to welcome more guests and offer different experiences such as private and family-friendly areas.
The island's name comes from the local language and means "big". The three different areas - Sangu for adults, O for families, and Koamas for all guests - show how the place welcomes different kinds of visitors and gives each one space to relax in their own way.
The location is about 35 minutes by plane from Male airport and is reached by seaplane, which offers scenic views over the Indian Ocean. The three areas are accessible by bicycle, on foot, or by free shuttle, making it easy to move between the different pools, restaurants, and activities.
The place has a professional diving center called Prodivers with access to about fifty diving sites nearby, giving visitors a rare chance to see rays, sharks, and manta rays in their natural habitat. The nearby reefs are so accessible that even beginners can snorkel and explore marine variety from the water.
