Eko Pearl Towers, Residential tower complex in Eko Atlantic, Lagos, Nigeria
Eko Pearl Towers is a residential complex of five high-rises built with glass, steel, and aluminum construction ranging from 24 to 33 floors in height. The complex holds over 560 apartment units, including one to three-bedroom homes and penthouses, arranged with approximately four units on each typical floor.
Construction of the first tower, Eko Black Pearl, began in 2013 and finished in 2016, with Eko Champagne Pearl completed the following year. The towers were developed as part of a larger project to protect and develop the Victoria Island waterfront.
The five towers take their names from different pearl colors: Black, White, Champagne, Indigo, and Aqua. This naming convention gives each section its own character and helps residents navigate the residential community.
The complex sits on reclaimed land along the Atlantic coast with adjacent recreational and commercial spaces nearby. Visitors should wear sturdy footwear since the surrounding area is still developing and can have uneven surfaces in places.
The towers were built on artificial land reclaimed from the ocean, which also serves as a coastal protection measure against erosion. This construction approach makes the project an unusual blend of residential development and shoreline defense.
