Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library

Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library is a private collection in Abeokuta that brings together books, historical documents, and objects related to Nigeria's heritage. The grounds contain various buildings and facilities arranged around a central library complex.

The collection was started in the late 1990s and formally opened two decades later. It grew from documenting administrative experiences and became the first such project on the African continent.

The name honors a former Nigerian president, and the place documents phases of the country's political development. The collections reflect like an archive how government and society changed across several generations.

The site uses natural formations like a granite plateau atop the hill that serves as a helipad. A dammed stream supplies water to the place and generates electricity for the buildings.
