Speed of Sound

Speed of Sound is a steel roller coaster at Walibi Holland featuring a 285-meter track with three inversions that rotate riders upside down. The train carries 28 passengers across seven cars arranged in back-to-back pairs and reaches speeds around 76 kilometers per hour.

The ride opened in 2000 as an original park attraction under a different name. Major renovations took place several years later, after which it reopened in 2011 with its current identity and updated features.

The ride presents itself as a scientific adventure where passengers journey through different themed zones like a laboratory. The soundtrack shifts as you move through each section, making the experience feel like traveling through various experimental chambers.

The ride lasts only a few minutes, so planning your visit during quieter hours of the day helps you enjoy it with shorter waits. During rainy weather the coaster can still operate, but the ride might feel more intense, so consider wearing weather-resistant clothing.

The coaster stands out for its striking visual design with bright orange rails and purple support beams that make it easily recognizable in the park.
