Crazy River, Water ride in Walibi Holland, Netherlands
Crazy River is a water ride at Walibi Holland where passengers travel in log-shaped boats through a channel course. The route spans about 524 meters with multiple curves and three drops, with the final descent being especially steep.
The ride was built by MACK Rides in 1994 and was originally designed as a Canadian lumber mill. Later, the theme of the area was transformed into a natural disaster scenario to keep pace with modern entertainment trends.
The setting shifted from a Canadian lumber mill theme to a mysterious natural disaster zone, showing how entertainment in the park evolved over time. Visitors today see a dramatically transformed landscape that no longer resembles its original inspiration.
Riders should be between 90 and 220 centimeters tall to enjoy the ride. It is advisable to check weather conditions before your visit, as the attraction may close during heavy rain or thunderstorms.
The final drop measures about 23 meters and makes this the longest water course in the Benelux region. Many visitors are surprised by how intense this abrupt descent at the end of the ride is.
