Robin Hood, Wooden roller coaster at Walibi Holland, Netherlands
Robin Hood is a wooden roller coaster at Walibi Holland, an amusement park in Dronten, in the Netherlands, built entirely from wood and running along a track with hills and turns. The structure rises visibly above the surrounding park and is one of the larger rides on site.
The ride opened in 2000 during a period when Six Flags took over the park and carried out a major expansion. After closing in 2018, the structure was fully dismantled and rebuilt as a new coaster that reopened in 2019.
The name of the ride refers to the English folklore character from Sherwood Forest, and the area around the track is themed to match this medieval story. Visitors can spot details from the legend while waiting in line.
The ride is in a busy section of the park and can draw long lines on crowded days. Going early when the park opens or later in the afternoon tends to give shorter waits.
Although the coaster was entirely rebuilt, it kept the same name and theme as before, meaning two completely different rides have existed under the same identity at the same spot. The wooden framework visible today is therefore younger than it appears to most visitors.
