Walibi Holland, Amusement park in Biddinghuizen, Netherlands
Walibi Holland is an amusement park near Dronten with more than 40 attractions in several themed areas, including eight roller coasters and three water rides. The zones spread across the grounds and offer rides for children, families, and thrill seekers.
The site opened in 1971 as Flevohof, an educational farming project in Flevoland. After several renamings, it became a modern amusement park with international roller coasters.
The name Walibi comes from a Belgian amusement park chain and was adopted here after rebranding. Guests find in the themed zones a mix of international rides and Dutch design elements.
The season runs from April to October and on summer weekends in particular the queues can get longer. Access is possible by bus from Amsterdam or by car, with plenty of parking available.
Untamed is a hybrid roller coaster that combines the old Robin Hood track with steel and wood and offers five inversions. The track passes through its own structure several times and uses the original wooden base in surprising ways.
